Job Description

A facility is seeking a pediatric critical care physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Florida.
The clinician will be covering 7 - 14 shifts per month. The clinician will cover CVICU only. CVICU will take some overflow of the PICU but the clinician covering the PICU will manage their care. There is no ECMO per se in the CVICU, but they do perform ECMO in the PICU. They use a tandem heart procedure and VADD in the CVICU. There will be cardiac trained APPs in-house 24/7 (7a-7p & 7p-7a). The clinician will primarily see post-operative cardiothoracic surgery cases and other high acuity peds cardiac cases. There is no step-down for this unit. Credentialing takes 30-60 days although this can most likely be expedited. An active FL license is preferred. The facility covers all travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.
