Neighborhood Hospitals Emergency Department Medical Director

WellSpan Health is opening three Neighborhood Hospitals in Shrewsbury, Carlisle and Newbury, PA, each with a 10-bed fully licensed Emergency Department.  We are seeking an EM Board-Certified Emergency Department Medical Director who will oversee the clinical operations of these three sites in partnership with WellSpan’s Division of Emergency Medicine, which includes seven Hospital-based Emergency Departments, including community and academic sites.

What you can expect at your practice:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, including leadership or supervisory roles
  • Lead teams of emergency medicine physicians at Shrewsbury, Carlisle and Newberry Neighborhood Hospitals.
  • This position will have a mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities
  • In addition, act as the site director at the primary site where physician will work clinically
  • Oversee all clinical operations at the three neighborhood hospitals to ensure high-quality patient care and experience
  • Serve as a liaison between the NHED’s and the local community, including patients, families, and community organizations.
  • Asist in the recruitment and retention of high-quality emergency medicine physicians
