Physician Acute Care Services is an independent, physician-led emergency medicine group that has served Southeast Texas for 11 years. We staff three emergency departments: two are open now and a third is opening soon. We have no national parent company, no private equity clock, and no non-clinical executives making decisions about how you practice.

Our doctors don't leave. They retire from us, and they retire from a career they love rather than one they burned out from. Physicians who join us tell us we've added five or more years to their careers. We'd like this to be the last job in EM you ever need.

What you get

2. You never work alone. One to three APPs are on shift with you, sharing your patient load and procedures. They work your patients alongside you rather than running a separate track.
3. A schedule built around your life. Block off the weeks you need and see the calendar [a year out / months in advance]. Shifts are 12 hours.

The department

1. 40,000 annual visits
2. [24 hours of physician coverage and 36 hours of APP coverage daily]
3. ePowerDoc EHR
4. Independent concierge hospital with full-service lab, radiology, and inpatient and observation hospitalists
5. Admissions transfer to surrounding local hospitals

Who we're looking for

1. BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
2. Texas license, or eligible to obtain one
3. Someone who wants to build a career in one place, not rotate through ten

Location

[Baytown / Mont Belvieu / Dayton], on the east side of Houston. You'll have big-city food, arts, and sports within reach, no state income tax, and a much easier cost of living than the inner loop.
