The Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, is seeking an Endocrinologist at the Assistant Professor level to be a part of its growing research, education and clinical missions .

The candidate will develop a clinical practice in the care of adult patients with diabetes, metabolic syndrome and general endocrine disease, as well as develop an area of special expertise. The candidate is expected to participate in the divisions research programs, educational programs, and community outreach, at levels commensurate with prior experience and the missions of an academic medical center.

Position Requirements"

• All candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology.
• Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin medical license, valid D.E.A. number
• Able to work in a highly collaborative environment, exhibit strong emotional intelligence, and have the ability to work effectively in a large, highly matrixed health system is required.

This position will be located primarily at Froedtert Hospital, our primary adult hospital affiliate which was recently ranked No. 3 by Vizient. Froedtert is a 550-bed hospital, and the only adult Level 1 Trauma Center in eastern Wisconsin. There will also be time dedicated to the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center which has been a major clinical affiliate of MCW since 1946. The ZVAMC provides 168 acute care hospital beds, admitting 8,000 patients and recording more than 600,000 outpatient visits annually.  It is one of the busiest and most comprehensive health centers operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Located approximately 2 miles from the Froedtert and MCW campus, the ZVAMC is a major training and teaching site for MCW and supports approximately $10 million in translational and clinical research, funded by the VA and NIH.
