To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Education: Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant. Licensure: All applicants must have active, current unrestricted license as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of United States. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Supervises, directs, oversees and coordinates all aspects of the unit's personnel and has a professional knowledge of nursing concepts, practices and procedures to perform specialized nursing assignments, including patient assessments, data collection and review, and coordination and support of all aspects of patient care, providers and other ancillary staff. Selective Placement Factor: Must provide a copy of one of the following or may be deemed ineligible for consideration: Incumbent must be nationally certified in one of the following nursing specialties: a. Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), orb. Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) by the Medical Surgical Nursing Certification Board (MSNCB), orc. Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification (RN-BC) by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC), ord. Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) by the American Organization of Nurse Executives. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
