Med-Cure Internal Medicine, a physician-led private practice, is seeking an additional Daytime Hospitalist Physician to join its growing team at Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear, Arizona , with an anticipated January 2027 start .

This is a full-time daytime opportunity for a physician looking for strong earning potential, a predictable 16-shift monthly schedule, extensive specialty support, and the opportunity to participate in resident and medical student education.

Position Highlights

• Separate nocturnist coverage from 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• $260,000 guaranteed base salary
• Expected total compensation of $325,000–$400,000

Clinical Practice

Hospitalists practice at Abrazo West Campus , a 220-bed Level I Trauma Center with extensive specialty and critical-care support.

The ICU is open, and procedures are not required . Intensivists, trauma, anesthesia, and emergency medicine support are available 24/7, including an in-house intensivist overnight. Hospitalists participate in rapid responses and codes.

Typical patient volume includes:

• Non-teaching: Approximately 22–24 patients during a 12-hour shift
• Teaching: Approximately 20 patients per day, including 16 starting patients plus four admissions

Physicians have access to broad specialty support, including Cardiology, GI, Heart & Vascular, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, General Surgery, Trauma Surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, Palliative Care, Nephrology, Cardiac Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Spine Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, and Hand Surgery.

Teaching & Leadership Opportunities

Physicians interested in academics may teach Internal Medicine residents, transitional-year residents, and medical students .

The teaching role is not initially a faculty appointment; however, strong performers may have the opportunity to pursue a core faculty position in the future. Dedicated teaching-track opportunities are also available.

Additional involvement is available through quality, medicine, peer review, and MEC committees, along with other leadership opportunities within the hospital.

Candidate Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Hospitalist background
• New graduates and experienced physicians are welcome
• Physicians from Nephrology, Pulmonary, Critical Care, or Infectious Disease may also be considered with appropriate hospitalist experience
• Ability to thrive in a busy hospital environment
• Interest in teaching is preferred
• This opening does not support visa candidates

Location

The position is based at Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear, Arizona . Med-Cure continues to expand its hospitalist team as population growth in the surrounding community increases demand for inpatient care.
