Job Description

The Pediatric/Nursery Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with Pediatricians physicians to provide a wide range of treatment services to all ages of patients and ensure clinical service delivery and patient flow within the umbrella of Tidelands Health core customer service values.

Experience :   

• At least three (3) years of clinical experience in pediatrics/nursery.
• Prior experience as NP preferred.

Hours

• Start time, Stop time and length of shifts will vary depending on volume of patients.
• Estimated that the start and stop times of shifts will be between 7am -7pm, M-F with backup Pediatrician coverage around the clock.

Education :

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN); Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.

Licenses/Certifications :

• Current and in good standing SC State License as a Registered Nurse, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner. NP certified with ability to practice with children under the age of 18 required.
• Current SC DEA, required.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), required.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, required.
• American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be initially completed with the TH Organizational Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions to obtain certification from a provider other than the TH Organizational Development Office are approved by TH Organizational development on a case by case basis). BLS Recertification is required every two (2) years.
