Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) has an outstanding opportunity for a board certified/board eligible internal medicine physician to join a premier practice as a member of faculty. The practice includes 11 physicians and 1 nurse practitioner.  All physicians have teaching positions through the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine and are actively involved in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Internal Medicine residency program to teach and prepare future physicians. 

The selected physician is expected to participate in several practice styles, but the extent of each is left to the preference of the physician. Opportunities include seeing ambulatory patients, seeing ambulatory patients while precepting learners (resident and students) and leading teaching rounds on the hospital inpatient medicine service. There may also be some opportunity to precept residents in the resident ambulatory clinic, on occasion. The position will include some participation in weekend coverage of the inpatient teaching service.

The ideal candidate will have both inpatient and outpatient clinical experience. Experience in educating residents and students is not required, but would add significant value. A strong interest to interact with learners and develop teaching skills over time is important.  We are also looking for an individual that has exceptional patient communication skills.
