Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons (SOS)  in  Montgomery, Alabama  is actively seeking a  Fellowship-Trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon  to join our well-established private practice. This high-demand position offers  immediate surgical spine volume , access to modern facilities, strong referral networks, and a clear path to partnership. Position Highlights

  • Mix of clinic and OR:
    • 2.5–3 days in clinic
    • 2 days in OR (cases typically 6:45 AM – 3:30 PM)
  • Monday–Friday schedule; no weekend clinic
  • ModMed EMR
  • Call shared equally among partners
  • Onsite and nearby ancillary support: imaging, physical therapy, orthopaedic urgent care
  • Practice support from 8 APPs and 6 therapists
  • Modest general ortho responsibilities as you build spine volume

  • Team of 11 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers
  • 5 practice locations serving central Alabama
  • Onsite physical therapy, durable medical equipment, and urgent orthopaedic care clinic (open Mon–Sat, 8 AM–8 PM)
  • Physician-owned ASC located across the street; new center under development
  • Team physicians for the Montgomery Biscuits, AA Minor League Baseball team

Qualifications

  • BC/BE in Orthopaedic Surgery with Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery required

Will consider Neuro Spine

  • Eligible for Alabama medical licensure
  • Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and a team-first mindset
