Why El Paso
El Paso is one of America's most underrated cities — consistently ranked among the safest large cities in the United States and offering a cost of living well below the national average. With more than 300 days of sunshine per year and no state income tax, your quality of life here is hard to match. The region is rich with outdoor adventure, from the Franklin Mountains State Park right within city limits to the sweeping landscapes of West Texas and nearby New Mexico. El Paso's vibrant culture blends Southwestern tradition with a dynamic arts, dining, and festival scene, and the city is home to Division I universities and strong private colleges — making it an excellent place to raise a family. Whether you're drawn to wide-open spaces, a welcoming community, or simply the chance to keep more of what you earn, El Paso delivers.
