Job Description

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine in conjunction with IU Health Physicians, are expanding its team as it transitions to a subspecialized service.  The department is seeking to jointly recruiting surgical pathologists with subspecialist expertise in Gynecologic, Head & Neck, Thoracic-Pulmonary and Gastrointestinal pathology, to join its faculty.  Additional areas of experience and subspecialities are encouraged to apply. The Pathologists will be based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL) located in downtown Indianapolis.  The Pathology team serves 10 hospitals within the IU Health Network and Eskenazi Health.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional diagnostic services within anatomic pathology
  • Provide on-call coverage and conference support with department faculty members
  • Actively participate in educational activities with medical students, residents, and fellows

Qualifications:

  • Must be certified in anatomic pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology
  • Must be qualified for licensure in the state of IN
  • MD, DO or equivalent education
