Cytopathologist/Surgical Pathologist (NTT)

The Department of Pathology & Anatomical Sciences at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking an academically-oriented Senior Surgical Pathologist with academic rank based on academic record (open rank). The duties of this position include services in cytopathology, anatomic pathology, and student and resident education. The collegial environment provides substantial opportunities for intellectual creativity and research.

The duties of this position include services in general surgical pathology, helping in the mentoring and supervision of other surgical pathologists, and teaching medical students and residents.  It is expected that the successful candidate will progress to being the Director of Surgical Pathology within a year of appointment (if not sooner, depending on hire date). Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an MD, DO, and be qualified for an unrestricted Missouri medical license.
  • Have certification (or eligibility for certification) by the American Board of Pathology.
  • Completion of a Cytopathology Fellowship program and board eligibility or certification in Cytopathology.
