The  Department of Pediatrics  invites applications for an Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Medicine faculty position within the  Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health .

Clinical care and leadership responsibilities will include providing consultative services focused on Adolescent Medicine specialty domains (primarily eating disorders, other behavioral health problems, chronic illness management and transition, sexual and reproductive health, and adolescent health risk behaviors) and opportunities to enrich and expand current clinical offerings. This role will also include oversight of Adolescent Medicine education and training experiences, including pediatric and medicine-pediatric resident rotations and medical student rotations.

Eligible candidates must hold an MD/DO degree and it is strongly preferred that the candidate be board-certified or board-eligible through the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and adolescent medicine.

The Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health is dedicated to providing excellent clinical care, training the next generation of pediatricians, advancing our knowledge of ways to improve the health of children and youth, and improving the health of our community. As the largest division within the Duke Department of Pediatrics, we provide expert patient care at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center and our affiliated locations.

All of our pediatricians are members of the faculty at the Duke University School of Medicine and are board-certified. The faculty and staff in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health constantly work to improve our healthcare knowledge to provide our patients with state-of-the-art care.
