Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (agency-approved, competitive for full-time employment)
• Salary Range: $100,588 to $143,769 annually (equivalent to full-time salary)

What You’ll Do:

• Provide expert perioperative care to cardiothoracic surgery patients using a patient-centered approach
• Assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and surgical first assists
• Manage ICU and surgical patient care, performing rounds, assessments, and developing treatment plans
• Participate in 2 full-day clinics weekly, with additional patient visits as needed
• Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday
• Collaborate with surgeons and multi-disciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and labs
• Prescribe medications and perform bedside procedures suitable for cardiac surgical patients
• Ensure accurate documentation and operate with clinical judgment and independence under supervision
• Complete ongoing CME to stay current in cardiothoracic surgical care

What You Need:

• Active Physician Assistant license in Colorado
• NCCPA certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU management
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and team collaboration skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic clinical setting
